Signal Vine Heads To NCCEP

Find me on:

Last year, the Signal Vine Team joined GEAR UP programs around the country at the Annual National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP) Conference in Washington D.C. We had the opportunity to present with Dr. Castleman on his Summer Melt research, and share our experiences using text messaging to guide low-income students through the college-going process. This intervention improved matriculation rates by 11% and first-year persistence rates by 20%.

unnamedAs our work with GEAR UP grows and our mission continues to align with NCCEP, we are excited to attend this year’s conference in San Francisco this upcoming week. We will be presenting with West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission at a pre-conference Txt4Success workshop to share text messaging success stories and explain how GEAR UP programs can use text messaging to improve student outcomes.

If you can’t make it to the workshop, come on by our booth (#207) in the Exhibit Hall to say hello and pick up some #SignalSwag while learning more about our work with GEAR UP. We’ll see you in San Francisco!
