The fireworks may be over, but we’re keeping the Independence Day spirit alive and well by spending the next two weeks in Washington, DC! We’ll be working with higher education institutions and college access organizations to support college access and success nationwide at two of our favorite conferences. Will you be there?
Financial aid professionals from around the country will be attending the 50th National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) conference to share best practices and finally learn what PPY means. Signal Vine will be at Booth #408, discussing how colleges use texting to increase FAFSA renewal rates and educate students about loan borrowing. Come early and you might just get some cool sunglasses to shade you from the DC sun.
After NASFAA, we’ll be moving a few blocks over to join GEAR UP programs nationwide at the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP) conference. Dozens of GEAR UP, TRiO, and Upward Bound programs use text messaging to support students to and through college. You’ll find us at Booth #114, and on Monday, 7/18, we’ll be presenting with the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation at 2pm in a session titled, “Text Me Back: Engaging and Supporting GEAR UP College Students via Text Messaging.” Attendees will learn texting best practices, strategies for implementation, and results of VSAC’s texting program.
We can’t wait to see you there!
